We pulled off the 1st Annual Crawfish on Mother's Day weekend. I was lucky enough to have my Mom here for the weekend and share Mother's Day with her, but it was also nice having her here to help out with the kiddos during the party. There were alot of friends and neighbors and TONS of crawfish and a few margaritas:) I hope everyone had as good of a time as I did. Kids had a blast squirting each other with water and playing in buckets of water. For those who missed it.....be sure to mark your calendars for next year. I'm sure they will only get bigger and better

Boo's New Do'
I took Jackson in for his buzz cut this week and he asked the hair dresser to make his hair "spiky". He has a friend at school named Chance that he really likes and he happens to have "spiky" hair so I am guessing this is where his request came from. So here is new do'.......
Swim Lessons
We decided it was time to start the kiddos in swim lessons so that they would be ready (fingers crossed) by the time summer arrives. Both kids went through a swim evaluation at Fins Swimming and were at the same level....angel fins 2. So they go every week and really love it. The instructor says that they are both completely fearless when it comes to the water. It's true, they always have been very fearless so I'm hoping they catch on quick.
Valentine's Day Party
Avery was super excited to get decked out for her Valentine's Day party at school this week. She is really into Hello Kitty and Tutus. I love that she is finally somewhat of a girly girl because as a baby she wouldn't even wear a dress. She has her own style now and has to have a say in whatever she wears.

Double Trouble
OK, so this is not really a recent post but wanted to share some of pics and memories of Jackson and his best friend (cousin) Tryton. These two have the sweetest relationship ever. They really do enjoy playing together and getting into trouble. When they are together there is sure to be laughs and good times. When they are apart they are constantly talking about each other and ready to get back together to play as possible. I hope they stay as close as they are now. I'm sure the chaos they create will only get crazier as they get older, but for now it's really fun to watch them bond.
"Snow Day"
It's too bad the weather men can't get it right!!! The claims of the "artic blast" bringing snow to Houston on Friday, February 4th were disappointing. The schools cancelled and most businesses were closed- including Josh's office, but when we woke up expecting to see at least a little bit of white we were all let down. There was no snow, but there was really cold and some ice so we attempted to make the best of our "snow day." We stayed in and made a big pallet and watched movies with popcorn and warm cookies.
